Picasso powers across Europe
24/06/07

Citroen's C4 Picasso compact MPV is doing a storming success across European markets, closely challenging Opel's Zafira for second place in the segment.
The leader is Renault's Scenic with 101,506 sold in the first four months of 2007.
The Zafira is in second place with 76,036 and the Citroen sold 63,815.
The Opel model's sales are in decline, while the C4 Picasso numbers came from zero.
But the older Citroen model Xsara Picasso, which is being produced in tandem with the larger C4 version, dropped sales by a third in the four months to around 40,000.
In Ireland, the performance has not been so spectacular, but worth 431 units sold in the first five months of the year it has come from nowhere to gain 5.6 percent of the segment.
A chunk of this has also been at the expense of the Xsara Picasso, the older MPV from the brand.
